The 8x8 Node Home Page

The home page simply acts as a homepage, to allow

access to each of the conﬁguration pages. We describe

each of those pages in detail.

The Conﬁgure Sources (local inputs) page

This is where you conﬁgure the local inputs to this

node, and assign Livewire channels and parameters to

each. Once conﬁguration is complete (or at any time in

the conﬁguration process) click on Apply to save your

changes to the node.

Channel

Primer manual, each

Livewire stream must

be assigned a unique channel number. The channel num-

ber must be a number between 1 and 32767. Optionally

a text name can be entered.

Livewire names may contain any printable charac-

ter and can be up to 24 characters long (when entering

names excess characters will be truncated to 24 charac-

ters). Note however, that the displays on some Livewire

nodes can display only 10 or 16 characters. In this case

the leftmost characters will be displayed, so keep this

in mind.

You will want to develop a logical naming plan

for your facility. For ex

ample you may wish to

include the studio or

rack name as part of

your names to make life

simpler when identify-

ing sources in the future.

We give some examples

in the Introduction to

Livewire manual.

Choices:

• Disabled – Audio source is

disabled. It is not advertised.

No stream is generated.

• Fast Stereo – Enables low

delay stream for this source

(used for Microphones and

other live sources).

• Slow Stereo – Enables
